Day 110

Today was a LOOONG day. I got up and ran some errands before working my 10 1/2 hour shift. It wasn't too terrible because I worked in my favorite stock room, Belle's, and had some friends up there. All in all it wasn't a bad day. Gotta work tomorrow and then on Sunday I find out my schedule for the last week of my program!!!

Day 109

I had to work again today. Bye bye weekend. Today wasn't terrible though. I got up and went mini golfing with a friend from my softball team. Then had lunch at Chik-fil-a before heading home to get ready for work. Work was long and boring. It was really slow so I put in an ER request and got it!! I left at 8:15 and took home Katie who had come to visit me at work. I changed and we headed to MK to see the fireworks! Then we rode Thunder Mountain and headed home. It was a good day. BUT my phone decided to freeze up twice again today... not good. I'm going to take it to Verizon tomorrow and demand that they give me a different phone if this is going to continue to be a problem. Not liking this very much... Also not liking that I work a 10 1/2 hour shift tomorrow... gonna be a long day!

Day 108... Blue Man Group!!!

Today was FANTASTIC!!!

I got up and cleaned the bathroom and straightened our room because we have inspections on Friday... again.

Then I laid in bed and read and did some facebooking. I later watched Glee before going to see about why my new phone is freezing up. When I got home, Katie was home. We worked out and then got ready for Blue Man. We left the apartment at 5:30 to try to make it to the 6pm show. We were walking up to the ticket booth at 5:56 when we noticed that the showtimes were actually 5 and 8 tonight... fail. So we decided to go ahead and buy our tickets for the 8pm show and head to Margaritaville! Well... when we walked up to Margaritaville, they had just closed at 6 for a private event. Fail #2. So we ate Panda Express and headed to Islands of Adventure for some Harry Potter! When we got to the gate, the lady informed us that it was blockout dates for our annual pass and that we couldn't get in this week. Fail #3. BUT she said we were still able to go to the Universal side so that is in fact what we did. We rode the MIB ride and the Simpsons ride. Then we were rushing at 8:01 to the show. We can't manage to make it on time ANYWHERE!

The show was AMAZING!!! I was in awe the whole time! It was hilarious too!! I loved it! I also got to be in the show! They came out and got people from the audience for certain acts of the show. They came and stared at me and Katie for a while once. It was hilarious and we couldn't stop laughing. So then they came back again and grabbed my hand and pulled me up on stage! I was laughing hysterically! Katie was too! Up on stage, they put my in a chest protector harness thing and I was so nervous that I was going to get paint splattered on me or something! I was part of a dinner date act. They were each trying to impress me. It was so fun! We all ate twinkees together. Then one of the guys got "sick" and all of this gross twinkee mush came out of this tube in his chest! All of the sudden the same thing came out of my chest protector!! It was SO NASTY!! I just laughed the whole time! They took a picture of my reaction when it happened. And they gave me the lovely leftovers of the crap he upchucked on the table. They each ate some too. I tried it after the show. It wasn't too bad. It was just mushed up bananas. There was also an awesome dance rave part of the show. Me and Katie got up and danced! After the show, we got to meet 2 of the blue men!! It was so fun! They took pics with us and one even gave us a blue kiss on the cheek! So we basically had the most amazing night ever!! Everyone kept telling me I did great on stage, but all I did was laugh! Me and Katie were celebs and the blue men loved us BOTH!! Here's a pic of us with a Blue Man and one with our kisses!!

We went and got a dessert and Dunkin' Donuts and headed home!! I had an awesome day and am not so excited about having to go to work tomorrow... BUT I get off at 9 tomorrow night, so I think me and the girls are going to watch Wishes in MK tomorrow night maybe... we'll see!

Day 107

I love amazing days! Today I got up and ate some delicious frosted flakes! Then me and Katie had an amazing workout. I did two miles today and then we did abs. We got ready and then me and Katie and Em and Ashley went to Hollywood Studios. We were working on completing Katie's list of doing all the attractions at all the parks. So we didn't get to do a whole lot of stuff because we were wanting to make it to Olive Garden for the endless soup and breadsticks for $4.99. I got to push Em around in a wheelchair because her knee is messed up so that was a blasty! I did my good deed for the day by pushing my lovely roommate around a theme park in the hot sun for a few hours. So we did a few things on the list and then hurried to the Olive Garden... sadly we didn't make it in time for the deal. But it was ok because we still had a lovely lunch/dinner. So then we headed home and got in our comfy clothes. I just chilled for a few hours before my game. It was nice. Me and Katie skpyed with her sister and mom and then I just chatted with a few friends on facebook while just relaxing.

I got ready for my game and then me and Katie headed out. I did really well tonight. I hit 2 shots over third and only walked one person. My hitting is really starting to come around! We won tonight! I was so glad Katie came to watch too! Afterwards, we came home and just chilled. Now I'm sitting on her floor as she sleeps. I love my roomies so much! Tomorrow is another day off for me. I have a little bit of a to-do list while she is at work and then me and Katie are going to see Blue Man group!! Should be a blast! Maybe we'll even go watch Wishes tomorrow night!

Day 106

I had an amazing start to my day!!! And I guess this is technically the start to my weekend since today is my Friday!! I was woke up this morning by a phone call from East Robertson. Of course I didn't answer it because in the mornings my voice sounds awful. I listened to the voicemail and it was the principal all frantic telling me they wanted to offer me a job and didn't want anyone else to get to me first. I was SO excited! This is what I've been hoping for! So I also had a text from my dad. When I called him, he told me that he'd also been contacted by East in order to get my number as well as by the principal at Greenbrier Middle. I knew I was going to be "in high demand" as all my teachers told me at LU, but I didn't anticipate this! So I called Mrs. Cook back at East when I got up and ready and she flat out offered me a math teaching job in the high school! This is what I've been hoping for since I graduated!! I had kind of already accepted that they weren't going to have any openings and I was ready to take the job from Heritage or Jo Byrns. And I'd also been thinking about middle school math as well. Now all my plans are thrown away and I'm back to the drawing board. I've got to decide if I'm going to take the job or not. Also, none of this even matters if I don't pass my pedagogy test in June. I have a lot riding on that test. I really need to look up and see if there are any study materials I can look over to prepare because if I fail it... then I might not even have a job at all in the Fall! Oh gosh. I hate that kind of pressure when it comes to tests!

So after all that craziness happened, me and Jen and Adrianna went to get their costumes at MK for their deployed jobs next week. Then me and Jen hung out in the park while Adrianna went home. It was fun. After 4 months, I've only hung out with ppl from work outside of WOD twice. I wish I'd done it more often because I'm really going to miss all of them! We had a blast! BUT... it had to end because I had to go to work. So of course since I went to the park, I was late to work. When am I not late to work after a day in the park?! Work went by fast though. I worked upstairs in Belle's before they moved me down to the floor to finish up the night. I also found people to trade shifts with next week so I can have Tuesday and Wednesday off!!! So I brought Lindsey home and now I'm headed to bed. It's FINALLY MY WEEKEND!!! YAY!!!!

Day 105... EARLY morning

I got up at 4:15 this morning. I had to be at work at 5. It was a LONG shift today. Granted it was only a 7 hour shift, but it was really early, when I don't normally function. I worked in Belle's Basement. There was one other girl in there that is a CP so it wasn't as bad as it could have been I guess. After work, I went to Hollywood, MK, and DTD costuming to get costumes and return costumes. I got my schedule for next week this morning. Of course I'm not off for our formal. I'm also not off for the nice dinner me and my roomies made plans for at Ohanu's, but I traded with Kelli for that. I also will either have to trade or call in on Tuesday for my softball game. It sucks, but I'm going to play, especially since I only have 3 more games left. After I got done with all those errands, traffic kept me out even longer. Then I stopped at the Verizon store and wound up getting a new phone. My phone has been messing up for a few days now as well as not holding a charge for a whole day so I decided it was time. I was sad to say bye to my ENV2. It was a good phone while it lasted! So then I finally made it home at 3. I made some lunch and then programmed my phone to my likings. Then it was NAP TIME!!!

I had the MOST amazing nap! Then my roomies (Katie and Em) came home and woke me up about 2 1/2 hours later. It was a good little nap. Then Emily started cooking dinner. Of course when she offered for me and Katie to eat with her we took her up on the offer. We had chicken stir fry which was DELISH!! She also made cilantro lime rice. It was an AMAZING Easter meal. Not the same without my family, but good to have a roommate family here to spend Easter with if I can't be with my family at home.

After dinner and cleaning up, me and Katie baked an angel food cake. It was SO GOOD! While it was baking, we tried on formal dresses for our cruise that I had in my closet. It was a fun time. We just pranced around in them. After eating our dessert, we skyped with our friend Brad who is already done with his program and back in California. Then Katie skyped with her family and I got to meet the rest of the family that I didn't meet when they came down! So then I skyped with John for a while and then with Brooke. I miss my friends SO much and am ready to be home... as long as I can bring Katie home wth me!

Day 104

I'm so over being a slave for Disney. I'm ready to come home. I know that I only have 3 weeks left and that after the fact I will miss all my friends and the fun experiences, but I will NOT miss working for $7.25 an hour while doing slave labor. This week was especially hard because I was in strollers and I picked up 2 shifts so I wound up working 50 hours, but even without that, it's hard to force myself to go to work every day when I know I am working harder than I should for the pay I get. It's getting harder and harder to say that it's all for the experience. That it's worth it. Just not so much anymore.

I just had a tough day today. An 8 hour shift in strollers in the heat of the day was hard on me. Plus it was the end of the week. AND I have to work at 5 tomorrow morning. Yes, in 5 hours I have to be at work. I can't do all these crazy shift times anymore. They have GOT to stop moving around my schedule. My body can't handle it! SO the rest of my day after work consisted of Chik-fil-a, a nap, Twistee Treat, and grocery shopping. Wal-mart was NUTS. So now I'm home and going to bed. I have to be up in less than 5 hours... not going to be a fun Easter. I'm not excited about getting up that early to work on Easter, missing out on Easter with my family, and still having 2 more days of work before my weekend.

Day 103

I just realized I forgot to write yesterday...

Well I was late to work yesterday morning. My body just needed sleep. Oh well. I woke up at 8 and had to work at 8:15 so I just went late. No biggie. Work went by SO slow! I finally made it through the shift and came home. Me and Katie registered for our cruise and ate chocolate. To counteract the chocolate, we did ab workouts afterwards. Then we showered and got ready for our Katie-Katelyn date!!

We went to Bahama Breeze. It was FABULOUS!!! I loved it! Afterward, me and Katie came home and got in our comfy clothes and headed to bed (after I watched Survivor). It was a good chill night.

Day 102

Day 2 of the awful double shifts is OVER!

I got up at 5:45 this morning in order to be at work at 7. Work was slow at first, but soon picked up! I went 4 hours before getting my break, but that just meant that the last 2 hours went by quick! So I finished my shift and headed home. At home I took a nap. Oh I love naps! I had the most amazing nap that I didn't want to wake up from...

So then I had to get ready for work. I have another pretty awesome costume for the shift I picked up...

My shift at Mickey's of Hollywood in Hollywood Studios wasn't too bad. Everyone there was very nice and helpful and it was constantly busy. I was never bored.

Now I'm home and ready for bed. I'm on the down hill part of this long week. Only 2 more days of working in strollers. I am pumped because me and Katie are having another Katie-Katelyn date tomorrow night after work. No more doubles this week too!! Yay! Time for bed!

Day 101

What a day! I got up thinking that I was late for work, but actually I realized that I didn't have to be there til 8 so I was ok on time. Work at the Kingdom was swell. I worked 8am-2pm. I worked with some of my friends today so it was good. There was also this man I worked with who was really rude to me because he hated working there and complained to me about working there for 11 years and not making any money. I'm sorry, but if you hate your job that much, get another one! Don't complain and do nothing about it!! Gee whiz!

So then I came home and slept. I was exhausted. This is one of my neverending days so after my short nap, I got up and got ready for work at WOD. I worked 4:45pm-11pm. It was SO busy! I am completely exhausted. After taking Jen home and getting gas, I finally made it home. My roommate seriously needs to stop baking because there are fresh cookies every time I walk in the door! It's not easy to lose weight that way!

So anyways, work was interesting. I was rolling them through though! Having worked at MK, I am a speed demon. Of course I had the occasional complicated guest that slowed me down, but I was all business tonight! Now I'm home and ready for round 2 of this nutty week! I work strollers tomorrow morning at 7am-1pm. Then I'm probably going to nap again before heading to work at Mickey's of Hollywood at 5:45. I'm super ready for tomorrow to be OVER! At least I'm rollin' in some money. I can't wait to have a salary job! That's for sure! Time for bed! I've got another long day ahead of me!

Day 100... Interview #2

I've reached magical day 100!!! So crazy to think that I only have 24 days left of my program and 33 til I'm home. I'm not ready. I mean I am, but I don't want to have to enter the real world at home. I had a job interview today with the Rob. Co. Board of Education so that makes the real world seem so much more closer now that my program is ending. I am trying to get the most out of every moment I have left here. I am SO ready to be home with all of my friends, but not ready to leave my friends I've made here.

So today was another one of those awesome days off where I got to do all the laundry that has been begging me to do it for 2 1/2 weeks... 4 loads of laundry = done! Clean sheets = FABULOUS!

My roommate made her amazing "monster" cookies this morning so that was my delish breakfast! (Healthy, I know...) I was SO sore when I got up this morning from kicking all those strollers into stacks. It was tough work! I have a few bruises already forming on my legs. I am SO glad I don't have to work strollers at night anymore!

I started reading my new book that I got yesterday while doing laundry when Ashley told me she already had that book. Come to find out, Meghan also has the book that Katie bought on our roomie date yesterday too so it looks like we're going to be taking a trip back to Barnes and Noble today to return our books!

So at that point, I decided to look up some things to get ready for my interview. I looked up most asked questions and reviewed my philosophy of teaching and discipline plan. It's so hard to answer interview questions when the only experience you have is as a student teacher. I had a skype interview at 3pm so I got showered and did the interview. It went really well.

After that me and Katie went to return our books that we bought yesterday. We also got smoothies from our new favorite smoothie place! I had softball practice tonight. It was SO hot. I needed the practice though. After practice, I came home and showered again. I made myself some dinner and settled in for the night. Katie eventually came home and we attempted to make fried squash... it was pretty much a disaster. Now I'm about to read some before heading to bed. I have to work at MK tomorrow morning at 8 and then I'm working tomorrow night at WOD. It's going to be a long day...

Day 99

It's been a LONG day today. I got up and went to Hollywood Studios to get my costume for the shift I picked up for Thursday night. Then I came home and packed my lunch before heading to Mickey's Retreat to lay out for a while. When I got home I just chilled for a while and finished reading the book I've been working on for about a week and a half. It was REALLY good. It's about a girl who is completing a list of things to do before her 25th b-day. Now me and Katie are going to make lists!! Super excited! So when Katie got home, we went to run and then came back and showered quickly before heading out to Barnes and Noble. Since we are done with our books, we just figured we'd go get another one! We each got a book. Then we ate Panera and had smoothies at Planet Smoothie. Another successful Katie-Katelyn date! Then we had to head home because I had to work at MK tonight at 8. 8pm-2am is the shift I worked tonight. It was brutal. It lasted FOREVER. It was cool to be there for the parades and fireworks, but I was in the tunnel selling stroller rentals so I didn't really get to see them. I did get to see an evil stepsister in the tunnel just in normal clothes but with her make up and hair done. It was weird. So for like the last 3 hours of my shift I had to stack strollers. Me and my new friend, Michelle, who is also deployed felt like slaves! I'd much rather clean them than stack them. It was hard work and you have to do this kick thing with your leg to get them to stack. I'm going to be so sore in the morning, not to mention that I'll have plenty of bruises. I've decided I like working the stroller morning shifts better which is good since the rest of my shifts this week are mornings. So me and Michelle finally made it to 2am and headed home. By the time I got home it was 2:30. I grabbed a little something to eat and now I'm about to head to bed. I'm SO exhausted, but luckily tomorrow is my day off this week!!

Day 98... First day at MK!

Today I got up bright and early at 6am... way to early. But I actually did good. Working in the morning wasn't so bad! So anyways, I got up and me and Katie headed out to work. It didn't take as long as I'd planned for to get to work, so I dropped her off early. Then I headed to the tunnels. I had to take the bus to the tunnels and walk underground to the front of the park. I started out by cleaning strollers. Then I was pushing them out to the people handing them out. The rest of the time I did random tasks and worked a register at one of several locations. It wasn't so bad. People were very nice and I liked being in the park. It was a completely different atmosphere. I think the most frustrating thing is just that I didn't know where things were. It was tough not knowing the answers to questions that I would normally know at my usual location in DTD. Other than that, it went by quick and I made a few new friends. Some of my WOD friends were there too so that was good. We all got through it together! SO then I picked Katie up since she was also working at MK today and we headed home. We settled in and took a roomie nap on her bed. It was a long wonderful nap! We got up and got ready and I went to church with her. Me and Emily both went with her. We wore our nice Easter clothes and had our own pretend Easter (a week early) since we're working next week. I've never been to a Mormon church service before but it was very similar to my church at home. We came home and I got a lovely phone call from Jeana! It was so good to talk to her. Then we all settled in and enjoyed some cookies! We just chilled for the rest of the night. I signed up for a bunch of shifts. Now I am working 51 hours and 15 minutes this week! It's going to be nuts, but I'd rather get it all out of the way this week that way I have money to do stuff with the next several weeks. So now I'm about to go to bed. I don't work until 8 tomorrow night, but I need to go to costuming tomorrow at Hollywood Studios!

Day 97... Emily's B-day!

Today was my roomie's b-day!!! Emily is now officially 23! We all got up today and had a nice "roomie celebration of Emily's birth" lunch at the Tavern restaurant in Magic Kingdom! I picked up Katie from work and the rest of them met us there! We had a blast! Then we rode a few rides and Emily got a few free things for it being her b-day. We met Mickey and the princesses and then headed home. Me and Katie went to get Twistee Treat as Em went off on her dinner date with Ben. Then me and Katie went to the Beach Boys concert! It was a blast-y! It was so chill and the Beach Boys are still better then ever! I loved it, but then we had to head home because we both work ridiculously early in the morning... now I have to shower and head to bed. Pics from today to come soon!

Day 96

Another boring day today.

I got up and got ready to go to Magic Kingdom. Not for fun though... I had to get my costumes for next week. Me and and Adrianna and boy Kelly went to get them together. Then we tried to figure out the tunnel system so we know where to go next week when we work there. I am still confused! We came home and I watched Survivor before laying around for a while before work.

Katie and Em came home. All of us and Jackie had talk time on my bed. It was good. I need a girls night soon. So then I went to work. Work was ok. It went by fast. Me and Brianna hung together for a while at the end and just walked around putting things up. I love that girl! So I brought some work friends home and now I'm home myself. Tomorrow I'm off and get to see the Beach Boys!! Super stoked! It's also my roomie, Emily's, b-day! So we're all going to treat her to lunch!!! I can't wait! Should be a good day tomorrow. Of course any day without work is a great day. Still about ready to come home. Just wish I could bring all these amazing friends home with me!

Day 95

What did I do today that was somewhat productive other than blog??

Nothing.

I slept. I got up at almost noon. I was up for about an hour. And then I went back to bed. I slept until a little past 4:30. I made some dinner and got ready for work. I also had a few minutes of quality talk time with my wonderful roomie Jackie... she forced me to write that...

Work went really well. I got to learn how to do TCR tonight which is the cashing out of the drawers at the end of the night! It made work go by really fast! I got to talk to my friend Tyler on the phone tonight after I took Jen and Megan home. It was good. I miss all my friends at home a lot. I also looked up the job postings for metro. There's only 1 physics job and it's at Pearl Cohn. Not sure if I'm going to apply for it or not...

I have to go get my costumes for Magic Kingdom for next week tomorrow with some friends so I better get sleep. It's been a long day of nothingness.

Day 94

I was exhausted last night so I didn't write but yesterday was a ton of fun! My friend Anthony picked me up and we went to a spring near Winter Springs called Wekiwa. We swam there. It was so beautiful! I even swam down into the actual hole of the spring. It was really cool. We walked around and caught lizards and looked at the beautiful nature of Florida. We left after a while and ate Chinese for lunch which of course is my FAV! Then we went to his house and watched Shutter Island. Later he took me back home and my roommates immediately told me we were going to get ice cream at this place called Beaches and Cream. They have this dish called "the kitchen sink." They give you a pile of ice cream topped with a can of whip cream and every topping they have to offer. They might as well throw in the kitchen sink... hence the name. It was really good, but we couldn't finish it. So then we had a dance party in the car on the way home. When we got home I basically went straight to bed. I was drained from a fun day off.

Day 93

Another wonderful day in the world of Disney... well actually of Sea World. Today me and Katie and Ashley got up and went to Sea World. It was pretty fun. We got to see several shows and ride a few rides. They drug me on the kiddie rides. We finally made it to the Manta coaster which was AMAZING!!! We rode it twice! I was one happy girl after that! We took lots of pictures, of which I will post later.

We came home and I got ready for softball. We lost our game. I didn't pitch so hot. But the rest of the team didn't help pick up any slack either. Oh well. Can't win 'em all I guess. Oh and I had my interview with Heritage this morning. It went really well so we'll see what happens.

Day 92

I had an AWESOME day today! I got up and me and Kelli and Brittany went to Magic Kingdom. Other Kelly also met up with us too! We had a blasty! The lines were really short today so we got to ride almost all the good rides! We also had the amazing dole whips ice cream!!! LOVE IT! We all had to work tonight though, so we had to head back. When I got back I got ready for work and headed out. Work was so fun tonight! I loved it. It was just one of those good days! We weren't too busy, but busy enough. I could chat and have fun talking to my guests tonight. I really am going to miss all this when I'm gone back home. On the flip side, not sure if I've mentioned, but not only do I have an interview with White House Heritage tomorrow, but I also got a phone call from Jo Byrns today! They want to interview me too!! It's so good to have all these prospects already. So I just skyped with John (one of my besties) and now I'm heading to bed. I am also going to Sea World tomorrow! It's my first day off of 2 days!! YAY!! Time for bed... but not before a pic from today...

Day 91... Orlando Magic Game!

Today was another long day. I got up this morning and found out that I am deployed to Magic Kingdom Strollers next week. Definitely not what I was hoping for when I looked at my schedule. It's all morning shifts too. So now I have to completely change my body's sleeping pattern. It's not going to like this very much...

I got up and showered and got ready for the Orlando Magic game. Me and Katie headed out. It was a blast. The game itself wasn't very exciting until the final seconds when the Magic made a 3 point shot at the buzzer to tie the game, but he didn't get the shot off in time. It was pretty crazy! So realizing that Katie and I had all of this new found time before I had to go to work, we decided to hit up the Florida Mall. It was AMAZING!!! We were in shopping heaven! I got a super cute dress which I am considering my Easter dress. And a cute top that will be good for teaching! We were bummed that the mall closed at 6, but I had to eat and get to work anyways. It was good to finally have a Katie-Katelyn date since we hadn't in a while.

We came home, I got ready and headed to work. Work was SO LONG. They weren't giving out ER's and I only worked a 5 hour shift but I TOTALLY would have taken one. I took a bunch of friends home and now I'm home ready for bed. Some friends from work and I are going to Magic Kingdom tomorrow! I'm so excited to hang out with them outside of work!! Should be fun! Better get to sleep...

Day 90

I've hit the 90 day mark!!! As of tomorrow I have been here 3 whole months! It's crazy to think that it's gone by so quick!

I had to work at 9:30 this morning so I drug myself out of bed and headed that way. Work went by not quick, but I got done so that's all that matters. I got a fanatic card for being an awesome cast member again today!! I believe that brings my count to 5 cards!! I came home and changed out of my gross costume. Still sad I can't wear the sweet Animal Kingdom one every day.

So then I came home and chatted with Katie at the pool for a bit before going to hang out with a friend at Downtown Disney. It was a fun night and I'm excited about the Orlando Magic game tomorrow with Katie!!

Day 89

This morning I got up and went to work at Animal Kingdom! It was ok... I really appreciate my family at World of Disney now. It was HOT at work this morning and I didn't know how things ran there. It was a good experience, but I don't think I'll ever pick up another shift at a park ever again. I did love the sweet costume I got to wear though... check it!

I came home, ate some lunch, and went for a run. I only ran a mile today, but I did it in 10 minutes!! Yay! Then I just chilled out at the apartment with a few of the roomies. Oh and we had an inspection today. We got the "white glove" award for having a super clean apartment. It's kinda funny because we didn't get that at first, but the guy came back because he felt bad because our apartment was FLAWLESS and he told Ashley we weren't getting it at the time because there was (2 pieces!) trash in the trash can. SO we got chocolates AND cookies. Yummers!

I layed around and watched tv with the roomies and then had to get ready for work again. I put on my old boring costume and headed out but not before watching Survivor and seeing Matt get sent to Redemption Island AGAIN! Unreal!

Work was long and boring. I got to media sort again though so that was good. Now I'm home and ready for bed. I have to work at 9:30 in the morning so I think I'll go to bed now!!

Day 88

Today was such a great day!

I got up and me and Katie went for a run after a little bit of laying around. Then we did our ab exercises before showering and heading to run errands. I had to pick up my costume for my shift I picked up at Animal Kingdom tomorrow morning. I am SUPER stoked! It's a wicked sweet costume compared to my boring mute colored costume now! I will put a pic up soon! So after I got my costume and Katie turned some pants in, we decided to stick around Animal Kingdom for a bit. We got to see Tigers on the Malahari Trek! It was SO cool! We did that and then after some confusion about when I was supposed to work, we headed home. I got ready for work while we watched Oprah. Then I headed out. Work was so-so. It went by fast though (thank goodness). We had a tea party at work today so there was tons of finger foods. Yum! So I snacked a little bit on my breaks. I dealt with some VERY rude guests. Today was not my day to deal with pleasant people. It was rough, but I made it through. Now I need to get some sleep so that I can get up and do it all again! I'm working at Animal Kingdom tomorrow morning and then World of Disney tomorrow night... gonna be a LOOOOONG day, but I gotta make money somehow!

Day 87

I've been here 87 days. That's a LONG time. I only have 37 days left of my program and 46 more days til I'm home. I'm still not sure whether I'm ready to stay or go. Some days I wanna stay or go more than others, but I'm just trying to enjoy it while it lasts.

Today was a great day. We all got up and 5 of the 6 of us were off today. Meghan went and did her own thing as usual, but the other 4 of us got up and cleaned and just had a lazy day. We layed around and enjoyed our day off. Then we all got showered and ready and went to Marshall's and Target. Katie even curled my hair. It looked SO good!!

At Marshall's, which was our first stop, I tried on SO many things there. We spent 2 hours in there if that says anything...

I came away with a new bathing suit top, a comfy sports bra, a teacher skirt, and some socks for my keds! I had planned on getting an Easter dress, but didn't try one on that worked and was reasonably priced.

Our next stop was Target. We did our grocery shopping there. I stayed away from the clothes as much as possible. I wouldn't let myself try anything on because I did NOT need to spend any more money on clothes! We finished our grocery shopping and headed home. It was a wonderful roomie day.

At home, we all made our own dinner and then watched P.S. I love you. I cried. I don't usually cry in movies but this one got me towards the end (which is weird because it's mostly sad at the beginning). Then we laughed about the most ridiculous things and cried because we were laughing so hard! It made the night even better! Now I'm writing my blog and headed to bed. Emily and Jackie are asleep on Jackie's bed, Katie is out in hers, Meghan just got home and her and Ash are in their room. I think I'll settle in my bed and read. Hoping for another amazing day tomorrow... too bad tomorrow's will have to include work.

Day 86

What an awesome day!!!

So me and Katie and Ash got up and went to Epcot. Katie has the goal of doing every single attraction at each park before she leaves here in May. So we went and conquered Epcot. It was a lot of the rides and shows we wouldn't normally do but it was still pretty fun just hangin' out. It was raining for the first few hours too so we bundled up and tried to stay dry.

Then after that we raced home in time for me to change and get to the softball field. The girls came and watched. We lost, but I had a fun time as always! After the game, me and the girls went to Sweet Tomato's to eat... LOVE that place! Now we're home and sharing stories from our day. It really was a great day!

Day 85

Another day has gone by...

Today I got up and ran. I had to work at 2:30 so other than printing out my teaching license for my Rob. Co. application, I didn't get to do much else.

I worked a 9 1/2 hour shift today. It was SO long. I tried to be nice to the guests but it was hard when they kept asking stupid questions. I made it though. Now I'm home. Had some good talk time with the roomies and now I'm heading to bed. Hopefully a Katelyn-Katie day tomorrow! Finally made it to my weekend!

Day 84

I slept for a LONG time today. I didn't get up until 1pm. That means all my productive plans went down the drain... well some of them did. I did, however, get my laundry done. I also was able to get most of my teaching application done today too. I worked tonight. It went by really fast. I was floorstock in Princess. It was fun because Kelli was in the room doing floorstock too! So we found out today that several people from World of Disney are being deployed to Magic Kingdom next week. I'm not one of them, but Kelli and Angeleah are. This kind of makes me want to pick up shifts at some of the parks just for the experience. I think I probably will actually. Especially since they're doing way better business than we are at WOD.

After work, me and Nick and Kelli and Angeleah went to Steak and Shake. It was a blast! Now I'm going to bed. Tomorrow's another day of work! And I for sure need to go for a run tomorrow...

Day 83

I had a very productive day today! I woke up to stuff falling in the shower! That was enough to jolt me awake at 10 this morning. So I got up and did some job searching for the summer. I figure I'll be bored out of my mind so I might as well search for a summer job. I have a few places in mind and even sent a few emails. Already heard back from Crossroads bookstore saying they have no openings. I have a feeling this is how it will probably go...

So then I got up and went for a run. I came back and did my abs and then decided it was time to vacuum. I went and rented a vacuum from the front desk. Oh and also this morning I printed out my Robertson County application... so I can fill it out... again...

I got a bunch of it done and hope to finish it tomorrow. I sent off my reference forms for the application and got the mail. It was for sure a very productive day.

However, I got a phone call today from Disney telling me they had canceled my morning shift tomorrow since business is bad. I was supposed to be working a double but now I'll just be working my normal shift. That put me below 30 hours so I found someone who will give me their Saturday morning shift since I'm off for the Lifehouse concert that day. So it all worked out.

I showered and had to be at work at 6:30. I merchantained for 2 1/2 hours!! I was all happied out. Merchantaining is where you just wear merchandise and interact with the guests. I had on fairy wings and an apron with buttons. It was fun for a while, but after a while you get tired of saying hi and bye to everyone as they enter and leave the store.

So the rest of the night went by really quickly. I put in an ER but it didn't get approved, but it didn't matter because everything in the store was done by 1 so I got an ER for 1:15. Not as early as I was hoping for, but I'll take what I can get. So now I'm home and I'm ready for bed. Another productive day tomorrow is what I'm hoping for!!

Day 82... Sean Kingston!!!

Today I had to work a short morning shift. It was good. Went by kinda slow, but I made it. I came home and me and Em headed to Animal Kingdom. Katie got off work and we all went to see the Lion King show. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I can't believe I've never seen it. There were so many elements to the show. I couldn't comprehend and take it all in at once! After that, we did a meet and greet with one of the stilt walkers who is dating Emily. He's nice. Then we headed to dinner at Pizzafari. After a lovely dinner, me and Katie headed to Universal for some Sean Kingston!!

At the park, we saw the Mardi Gras parade and got tons of beads that they were throwing out!! Then we rode Rip Ride Rock-It and used a secret code that we were told about on the song selection menu to unlock a hidden song to listen to during the ride!! We even got to ride up front!! It was CRAZY!!!!! After that, we went to the concert. It had already been going on for like 30 minutes, but we made it in time for all the good songs!! We had our own little dance party. It was a blast! We came home and ate some ice cream. Now it's time for bed! What a great day!!

Day 81

I had a great day today!

I got up and it was raining. That made me not want to get up... but I did. Me and Jackie went to play grocery bingo. Our housing coordinators put on fun events like this for us sometimes. So basically me and the Jackster DOMINATED! When you win, they give you a bag of groceries and some laundry stuff. When I got bingo, there were actually 3 people that got a bingo. When there are 3 people, they make you do a dance off... SOOO, I had to dance. As soon as I realized I was in a dance off, I had no mercy. I danced like a crazy person! I blew the competition out of the water. Jackie said they were basically just standing there looking at me dance because I went nuts! It was embarrassing but SO fun! Later on, Jackie also won so we got DOUBLE the groceries!!!

So after lunch me and Jackie came home. We put all our groceries away and I went for a run and did abs with Katie and Jackie. After that, I had to get ready for work. Work went by SUPER fast because I was mostly doing media sorting. I'd never done that before, but I got trained on it tonight. I was on a register for all of 7 minutes in my 6 hour shift! It was great. I really liked media sorting. It made the night go by really fast. So all I did was sort the credit card receipts and such. It was a good job. I hope I get to do it again soon. Tomorrow I get to see Sean Kingston in concert at Universal, but I have to work at 10:15 in the morning so bed is probably coming soon for me. I'm watching Survivor so I'll hit the hay after that.
