Day 56... ESPN the Weekend!!!

I was completely star-struck today!! After taking my lovely roomie, Katie, to work this morning, me and Jackie went to Hollywood Studios to spend some roomie bonding time as well as to enjoy the last day of ESPN the Weekend!

I had my plan all laid out. I knew what celebs we were going to see and when! It was great! So we spent the day seeing famous athletes, and riding the always amazing rides at the Studios. I got to see Anquan Bouldin, L.T., Tim Tebow, Urban Meyer, Dick Vitale, Donald Driver, Roddy White, Dr. J, Chad Ochocinco, and several others. I loved every single minute of it!!! Emily even came and met us. Around lunch time, we had to bring Jackie home because she had to go to work. After that, me and Em headed back out to the Studios. We played games in the ESPN zone and just enjoyed the awesome fun that was to be had!! Unfortunately, I had to go to work so the fun had to end. I worked in stock today. It was long. I got off at 1 and now I'm ready for bed. This weekend has been SUPER exhausting!! Here are some pics from my fun-filled day though!!!

Day 55... ESPN 5K!

I didn't write my blog last night, but I'm taking a break from the park for a few minutes because I had to drop Jackie off at the apartment for work.

So yesterday morning, I got up and went to my 5K! It was good! I got to cross the finish line and give Minnie and Mickey a high five and get a "good job" from DeAngelo Williams (who was wearing his Memphis jersey... loved it!)!! It was AWESOME!! My time was 33:25! Better than my last time, but I still would have liked to do better than that. So I came home and picked up Jackie. We went to Hollywood Studios for an hour or so for ESPN the weekend. I wore my sweet medal from the race!! Here are some pics from yesterday...

So then I had to work at noon. I worked in stock. I think everyone should have to work up there in order to have an appreciation for how hard it is to find stuff up there sometimes. Some of my co-workers are so rude to me on the phone when they call up for something. If they worked up here even once, they'd understand.

After work me and Katie were going to go to the Lynyrd Skynard concert, but after being exhausted and a couple of other things that happened we decided to just chill for the night. We went to Sweet Tomato's. I'd never been there, but it was AMAZING!!! I wish they had them in Tennessee! It was so good and everything is made from scratch every day!

So after that, me and Katie took the bus back because we had walked forever to get to the restaurant. When I got home I skyped with Stephen and then headed to bed after a phone convo with Erin. I miss all my friends a lot. I need to call my sister too...

Day 54

This is going to be short because I have to get up in 3 hours to run a race!

Today was pretty fabulous! I got up and decided to go to Animal Kingdom to see Katie and find some hidden mickeys. I found so many hidden mickeys that I actually got tired of finding them! Katie wasn't in her window selling tickets so I was going to come back at the end of her shift. I surprised her by telling her I was going to be her ride home instead of the bus! We took the bus home and I got ready to go get my race packet. I headed to the Wide World of Sports and stood in line for 30 minutes to get my race packet. Those lines are ridiculous.

And on a side note, I was going to try to win the biggest fan award at the race tomorrow. My mom was sending my UT jersey and my bright orange socks and my UT visor. I was totally gonna rock it out... well it didn't get here in time. I was so sad. So now I'm just going to run in my lady vols shirt and call it good.

Work was good tonight. Me and Kelli basically walked around the store for the last hour touching things to make it look like we were doing something. It's hard to find something to do in that store at 1am! So I brought Kelli home and now I'm about to go to bed! Tomorrow is going to be a long day... race, park, work, concert. Gonna be great!

Day 53

Another day in the live of a Floridian.

Today I got up and did my mounds of laundry. I went for a run and got ready for work. I watched a couple of movies today too. I was in a scary movie mood. I finished watching the Shining and then watched the Stepfather. Both were SUPER creepy and I loved it!

Work was not the best. I was stuck in Belle's Basement again doing stock. I don't mind stock as long as I'm not in Belle's. It was long and they kept calling the phone I had asking for sizes so I was never able to get any work done! I guess that's how it goes though.

I finally got done and headed home. I took Kate home too. We had a good chat on the way home. So now I'm pondering what I'm going to do tomorrow. I might go visit Katie at work and look for some hidden mickeys. I also need to go pick up my race packet for my 5K Saturday as well as take my work shirts back to costuming and pick up new ones. For some reason when I wash them it leaves spots on the shirts so I just switch them out every week instead of dealing with that hassle of washing them. I should probably go to bed but part of me wants to sit up and watch a movie... oh decisions.

Day 52... Cocoa Beach and Home-Cooked Dinner

Today was fabulous! Me and Katie went to Cocoa Beach! It was my first time there. It was a little chilly today, but still fun. It's about an hour away so we got there around 12:45. We soaked up the sun! I am loving the tan I've got!!! Katie complained about how cold it was quite a bit. She's extremely cold natured. I was fine until right before we left. The wind was crazy out of control. If the wind had stopped blowing, we'd have been fine. We headed home because Em's family was having us over for dinner at their condo.

On the way home, we almost ran out of money for tolls. Our deal is that I spend the gas and Katie pays the tolls. Well Katie only had a $5 bill. We thought that would be enough plus the change I have in my car... we were almost wrong. I think we might have been fine except my GPS took us home a different way than we came. It had an extra toll charge. When we got to it, Katie woke up from her napping state and asked if we had enough money. I said no so she gave me her card. The guy working the toll booth looked at us and said "we don't accept cards." We FREAKED!! What were they going to do?! Detain us?! We had no more money!!! We dug around in my car until we came up with the $1.25 we needed. But for that solid 2 minutes I was scared to death! We came away from our little beach adventure with a lot of laughs, as we always do from any adventure.

Tonight we went to Emily's family's condo for dinner. Her mom prepared us a MASSIVE meal. We had pork tenderloin, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes, fruit, salad, rolls, and some blueberry cobbler thing for dessert. I am still super stuffed! It was SO good though! We all just sat and chatted. It was so fun! I love her family! Me and Katie brought massive amounts of leftovers home for our apartment and settled in to watch The Country Bears. Why? Because we thought the Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom was absolutely hilarious! However, after watching the movie... I like the show a lot better. The movie was absurd. I got a few laughs out of it, but once Katie fell asleep, the fun of watching it was gone. So now I'm blogging. I have so much I need to do. Me and Katie cleaned out the fridge tonight though, so I can mark that off our list! Why am I still up at this hour? One: my stomach hurts from all the mounds of food I consumed tonight. Two: I am incapable at this point of ever going to bed at a decent hour. My body just won't do it.

One last thought:
I love the joy my roommates bring me. It's not happiness, but pure joy. It makes me content :)

Day 51

I had a wonderful exhausting day today! I had the day off so me and Katie got up and went to Magic Kingdom. Before we left, we had apartment inspections. It was a whirlwind when they came in, but we got a good report! We were tired from the very beginning of the day. We did lots of rides and laughed a ton. We were delirious so it was pretty funny. There was this ridiculous cast member talking to people with a puppet. We laughed so hard at him! I wish I could only imitate the weird voices he was talking to children with and the crazy Indian scream he was doing. Slightly frightening, absolutely hilarious! After we left, I came home and got ready for softball. My game was fun! I was the DH for the first half of the game. I didn't hit very well. I was popping it up a lot. For the whole game I went 1/4. I have plenty of room to improve. I started pitching in the 4th inning. I did so good! I got in a groove and was just rolling with it! I also got to run for Nelly because she has bad knees. I had a lot of fun with them and we won 9-3 or 8-2 or something. It was so fun!! I am so glad to get to play again. It only stinks because I need to switch shifts with someone each week because I don't get Tuesdays off anymore. Hopefully I can get someone to switch with me because I love pitching! I even had one hit hot up the middle to me tonight. It was a shot. It hit in the glove and bounced out. I didn't make the play, but I'm just glad I stopped it. Tonight I think me and Katie are going to look up cruises and I need to go grocery shopping too. I plan on going to bed pretty early tonight. I have another day off tomorrow and so does Katie so I think we're going to go to Cocoa Beach!!! Super excited!

Day 50

I have almost been here 2 months!! It's so crazy to me.

This morning I woke up at a reasonable time: 8:50. But then I went back to sleep. So when I got up, me and Jackie went to lay out. Then we hit up Hollywood Studios to kill time until her mom got here. We rode Tower 4 times and Rockin' 2 times in 2 hours! It was amazing!

We came home and I showered and got ready for work. I got a hilarious package that I can't even describe from Heather and Erin. Made my day for sure!

At work time went kinda slow at first. I worked 6:30pm-1am. Towards the end of the night I got to be a door closer. I was next to the entrance where stitch spits on people from the roof of our building. It was a blast to watch people get hit unexpectedly or even to watch kids scream and stand there to get sprayed! I love that part of my job! So that was fun! After work I came home and brought Kelli home and now I'm ready to go to bed. I'm skyping with John right now. Then bed. Possibly Universal tomorrow!
